Snow Management & Plowing Crew Member

The Snow Management & Plowing Crew Member is a dedicated and detail-oriented professional with a strong willingness to learn and grow within the snow management industry. This role focuses on collaborating as part of a team to efficiently achieve daily snow and ice removal goals during winter weather events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, take pride in their work, maintain a positive attitude, and be flexible in adapting their schedule based on the timing and severity of snowfall.

    • Arrive to Shop or Assigned Jobsite prepared for work with: lunch, water, proper uniform/dress, and safety gear at least ten minutes before start of shift.

    • Communicate with your Supervisor or Operations Manager to determine the goals for the day.

    • Communicate with management via text or email about any problems with equipment or trucks as soon as they arise.

    • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks, ensure that all equipment and materials necessary for daily tasks is stored and strapped down for safe transport.

    • Maintain high standards of organization and cleanliness of jobsites, trucks, and all equipment used.

    • Educate yourself on safety procedures to ensure proper safety at all times, while maintaining and promoting quality, and efficiency. 

    • Conduct daily inspection of tools, trucks, and equipment used, and report any findings.

    • Assist in the maintenance of equipment used for snow management.

    • Learn and comprehend the principles, responsibilities, roles, and systems at Pinnacle Properties. Have a comprehensive knowledge of trained systems and methods.

    • Responsibilities may fluctuate from those listed based on the season and the needs of the company.

    • Ability to work with hand tools, small engine equipment, and heavy machinery.

    • Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, be on feet for 8-10 hours a day, and carry out strenuous physical tasks.

    • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through workday.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    • Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.

    • Work outdoors in various conditions including rain, freezing rain, ice, snow, blizzard conditions, high wind conditions, noise and cold.

    • Ability to work variable hours based on winter weather conditions, including occasional weekend work.

    • Ability to work extended hours (ie: more than 10 hours per day, if needed).

    • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in the snow management industry.

    • Capable of operating tools of the trade efficiently and safely (ie: shovels, snow blowers, plow trucks, skid steers, tractors, loaders, and drop and spread salters) .

    • Effective communication skills are expected so you can carry out verbal instructions, and ask questions when needed.

    • Positive attitude towards work and co-workers is a must.

    • Superior time management skills required, as well as the ability to communicate clearly through text and email.

    • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.

    • Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record are required.

    • Base Pay: Based on Experience.

    • Full Time Benefits: $350 contribution towards Health Insurance, 50% Dental Insurance, 50% Vision Insurance after 90 days of employment, IRA Retirement plan with 3% employer match after $5000 earned

    • Paid Time off and Sick Time for employees working at least 1800 hours each year

    • Paid vacation/holidays & sick time after 1 year employment: 5 days PTO , 5 Sick Days , 3 Paid Holidays

    • Paid vacation/holidays & sick time after 2 years employment: 10 days PTO,5 Sick Days, 5 Paid Holidays
